1. Clarillax 01:37

A clarinet ensemble creates a wonderfully atmospheric track which sings through the darkness in a slightly sad and melancholic way. A bass clarinet underlies the falling arpeggios as high melodies and phrases drift in and out during the piece.

8. Deepest Regrets 01:41

Regretful thoughts come through the lonely gloom in this sad duet for acoustic guitars. Joined later on by a subtle percussive crescendo leading to an additional bass accompaniment, this track is full of melancholy and remorse.

17. Sami Joik 04:34

The Sami, also known as Lapps, are the indegenous people of Northern Scandinavia. Hailing from northern parts of Norway, Sweden, Finland and Russia (the Kola Peninsula), their lives and appearance have a lot in common with Native Americans. Their music is dominated by the unique and easily recognizable Joik (or Yoik) which again lends similarities to the chanting vocal styles of Native American music. It is often accompanied by a simple hand drum beat.

18. Pigalle 01:09

Parisienne café life beckons as a lively accordion provides the lead melody in this upbeat track. A clarinet answers the lead lines with it's own phrases ensuring that the energy and pace of the piece is maintained throughout. Jolly and spontaneous.

34. Clarinet Conclave 01:45

Avante garde style clarinet duet that creates a really strange and uneasy atmosphere. The two cross over each other to produce a chaotic discordant sound, whilst other times a solo clarinet is given free reign to confuse you even more.
