Mid-tempo Ska with Russian or Eastern European overtones. A ska is a music style closely related to reggae.
Ska is a form of Jamaican music which began in the early 1960s. Combining elements of traditional mento and calypso with an American jazz and rhythm and blues sound, it was a precursor in Jamaica to rocksteady and later reggae. It is the predominant form of music listened to by Rudeboys, Mods, and Skinheads, amongst others, with artists such as Symarip, Laurel Aitken, The Charmers and The Pioneers aiming songs at these groups as far back as the 1960s. Very dark and brooding piece. Builds with tension as it goes along. Starts with spacey synth pads and then explodes into distorted and twisted life. The mid break brings in some spacey, atmospheric textures before the inevitable last crushing chorus. Style wise similar to nine inch nails. Contains synths, guitars, drums and lots of distortion. Would suit thriller type project.
Starts a little spooky and cautious, in the bridges and in the chorus with a lot of power, a bit like Sergeant Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
