Brazilian mainstream Pop for taking a break, brings back energy quickly
Funky clavinet style synth starts this shuffley groover of a track. Non-stop bounce and energy from start to finish. The mid section brings a slight breakdown as eternal voices and synth pads fade in and out. The huge groove returns as wah wah lead guitar brings the tune to it's big bouncey end.
An exotic, haunting Indian vocal track sung for us by highly renowned Indian female singer Vidya Rao, whom we feel privileged to have worked with on this track. Her sorrowful singing/chanting in the alaap is as atmospheric as it is emotional, and is accompanied by a clean jazz guitar, joined by jazzy drums and bass at around 1 min 45 secs. Alaap literally means introduction and it is traditionally used by an Indian singer who goes through many permutations in the notes of a raag finally resting on the tonic and then nods at the tabla player to set the rhythm. A smooth blend of the traditional and the modern, of the East and the West. Great for use in travel and adventure, chill-out and exotic moods.
Soft, melodic, acoustic instrumental fantasy-rock? It's a bit hard to describe this track. It starts softly with piano, strings and acoustic guitars, and later builds to a big sound with soaring guitars and emotional melodies. Slightly retro, inspired by progressive rock groups like Genesis, Yes, Saga, Rush, Barclay James Harvest, etc.
Imagine a bank heist somewhere on the streets of Rio. Has a very Brazilian flavour to it with lots of salsa rhythms. Also possesses a degree of drama and suspense. The end section has guitar riffs that build and build to the final no holds barred riff-out! Contains electric piano, organ, synths, bass, drum kit, xylophone and some e. guitar quite reminiscent of Carlos Beck.
