African Fields

08:30

african soundtrack piece which goes through many different stages throughout it's duration -- from the floating to the rhythmic, from light to dark, from sparse to dense, from the tribal and percussive to the ethereal with drones. There are many different cues in this piece, all contributing to a highly useable African soundscape.

A slow but determined, foreboding, cold groove carries through this mysterious, dark track. The backbeat groove keeps pumping away unrelentingly - as strings, pads and synth arpeggios weave swirling patterns around it. Technology, mythology, science, mystery, past and future, high tech, sports, cutting edge, dark past. Similar to the sound of Massive Attack.

An unusual and highly atmospheric blend of Celtic/Irish folk influences with Indian, Oriental and Asian elements. Tabla drums and sitars combine with electric guitars, Indian raga flutes and Celtic inspired melodies. It's a little eclectic, dreamy and ethereal, with a sense of far-away places, mythology, travel, adventure and new discoveries.

A grand, sweeping, semi-orchestral piece with a gradual build-up towards a crescendo at the end. Loud percussion with a slight eastern or oriental feel. Ominous, dramatic, epic. Grand adventures, history and mythology.

The Descent

01:08

A somewhat ominous and pompous sounding semi-orchestral track with chanting choir. Quick string runs, dramatic orchestration. Use with drama, fantasy, grand adventure, amazing discoveries, urgent / exciting cultural or historical, religion / cult, dark castle, mystery and mythology, etc. Unsettling, uneasy.

A rather dark and ominous amazement / drama track. Chanting choir, stabbing brass and percussion, a sinister undertone tells of perhaps religious rituals, cult, majestic uprising, dark magic or sacrifice, determined evil powers gathering. Dark history, mystery, mythology. Foreboding, threatening.

The Alchemist

06:15

This is a pretty long fantasy rock track that goes through various stages. The track has a mystical, mysterious feel, as if touched by something magical. Very melodic, featuring layers of acoustic guitars, live orchestral flute and cello, this track has a sense of magic, wizardry, strange lands, fantasy worlds. Rich and lush with both light/beauty and dark/sinister elements. Good for adventure, fantasy, amazement/discovery, magical worlds, mystery and mythology.

A semi-orchestra, semi-tribal, earthy, mystical backtround / underscore track for fantasy, exploration, adventure and travel. General background use, peaceful and slightly mysterious, but without really being particularly sad, happy, dark, light or emotional. Nice for exploring new worlds, discovery, fantasy games, adventure games, travel programmes, or background use for visual imagery, mystery and mythology, etc. Throughout the 7 minutes playing time there is NO repetition, so you can play this track in a loop for a long time without it getting too repetitive.

Daybreak

03:18

A moody and atmospheric ambient piece with ethereal pads and ambient slide guitar. Soft, yet deep and evocative, like an unfolding story or a magnificent sunrise. The track has a slight sense of ethnic mystery or the ancient world, maybe India. Very dreamy, reflective and rich on atmosphere, perhaps something spiritual.

Ancient City

A sombre piece of musical imagery, this track has a strong sense of history. Very organic, and evenly paced to make it highly suitable as background music for geography, history, fantasy, travel or mythology related material. Also great for fantasy, RPG games etc.
