Sami Joik

04:34

The Sami, also known as Lapps, are the indegenous people of Northern Scandinavia. Hailing from northern parts of Norway, Sweden, Finland and Russia (the Kola Peninsula), their lives and appearance have a lot in common with Native Americans. Their music is dominated by the unique and easily recognizable Joik (or Yoik) which again lends similarities to the chanting vocal styles of Native American music. It is often accompanied by a simple hand drum beat.

Tribe

04:05

Very Powerful riff/groove driven track. Has many different flavours within it. The b part has acoustic guitars, verse 2 synth pads and funky rhythm guitars. The whole tune has the core riff as a variation, providing many moods and textures. Contains guitars, synths, strings, bass and drums.

Place of Legends

02:26

Underscore / background track for use in fantasy / history / cultural / ancient tribes, travel / journey to far-away places or fantasy worlds. Haunting, wistful, good for use with adventure games, drama / storytelling in ethnic / world settings, etc.

A weird and quirky blend of drum'n bass, ambient and tribal, indigenous influences. Slight jungle, tribe feel, mixed with cutting-edge, minimalistic urban and mechanical, even futuristic styles. Sub-bass, various textural and experimental sounds and swirley pads. Good for science & technology, otherworldly or strange productions, art, projection, strange creatures, visual imagery, art installations and more. Busy, active, yet strangely chilled-out.

The Coco Race

A fun and bouncy African or jungle inspired track. Double-time drums give it a race or action feel, but in a fun and friendly way. Occasional tribal grunts, lots of varied melodies throughout, and a humorous element in the live kazoo performance. Great track for kids' games or any bright & fun content.
