A smooth, lush and warm vocal pop track with a retro 1960's / 1970's sound. Think the Beatles and other 1960's-1970's flower power, also perhaps early David Bowie. Soft male vocal. Somewhat psychedelic, dreamy, trippy. Very pleasant sound, featuring all live instruments and string section.
A beautiful, traditional Indian love song arranged with a mixture of Indian ethnic instruments and more modern/western elements. Sung by the highly renowned Indian thumri singer Vidya Rao who has been kind enough to work with us on this track. Thumri is a form of Indian singing which originated in the temples where the courtesans of the temples used to sing about lost love. The lyrics in this song can be summarized as a woman singing to a dear friend or lover in a far-away land, singing for him to return to where he belongs. Arranged with tabla, Indian strings and soft pads. There is also an alternative version without the vocals, and yet another version with only the vocals and soft pads, in a more "ambient" setting. Haunting and beautiful.
An exotic, haunting Indian vocal track sung for us by highly renowned Indian female singer Vidya Rao, whom we feel privileged to have worked with on this track. Her sorrowful singing/chanting in the alaap is as atmospheric as it is emotional, and is accompanied by a clean jazz guitar, joined by jazzy drums and bass at around 1 min 45 secs. Alaap literally means introduction and it is traditionally used by an Indian singer who goes through many permutations in the notes of a raag finally resting on the tonic and then nods at the tabla player to set the rhythm. A smooth blend of the traditional and the modern, of the East and the West. Great for use in travel and adventure, chill-out and exotic moods.

A sweet and charming, somewhat naïve sounding vocal pop ballad, with a sense of simpler times, perhaps going back to the 1950's-1970's with the innocence and genuine hope for a better world. The lyrics are a pretty straightforward love song, and the music is lush, delicate, tasteful and rich with a live string section and live horns.
