The Sami, also known as Lapps, are the indegenous people of Northern Scandinavia. Hailing from northern parts of Norway, Sweden, Finland and Russia (the Kola Peninsula), their lives and appearance have a lot in common with Native Americans. Their music is dominated by the unique and easily recognizable Joik (or Yoik) which again lends similarities to the chanting vocal styles of Native American music. It is often accompanied by a simple hand drum beat.
Whether you are snowboarding, skiing or skateboarding, put this track on the headphones and then dash down the next slope with Hello
A smooth jazz tune filled with conviction and purpose featuring piano, guitar, electric bass and drums.
An ethereal and swirley track with elements of Ambient and Drum'n Bass. Sparse and minimalistic, with a slightly wistful, reflective tone of mystery and discovery. Suitable for use with commercials, art and installations, projection and presentations of cutting-edge concepts or ideas. Perhaps science, technology, future discoveries and research. Also good for nature & travel, underwater footage, space, sci-fi and more.
Restless and passionate. The search for the Holy Grail. Or a lost love. Talkover version.
A slow and solemn orchestral soundtrack with a stately and processional feel evoking a day of reckoning atmosphere full of apprehension. Good for courtroom dramas, military tribunals and more. With a mysterious, “to be continued” style ending.
